Othello- Blog 6
When Bianca comes in the room where Iago and Cassio are speaking, Bianca becomes angry. This happens in the play Othello by Shakespeare. Bianca becomes angry because the handkerchief that Cassio has given her is one that was found in his room. She believes that Cassio is sleeping with another woman. Again this is just another sign to Othello that Cassio is with Desdemona. This is especially true since the handkerchief is one that Othello gave to Desdemona. "What did you mean by that same handkerchief you gave me even now? I was a fine fool to take it" (IV.i. 141-142). At this point Bianca is somewhat jelous and Cassio keeps referring to her as a whore, another time he seems to degrade a woman. He is now sounding like a real jerk to Othello.
