In the last Act of Othello by Shakespeare, the tragedies and deaths of several imporant characters impact the stroy greatly. As Roderigo dies, Iago is able to be left alone about his love for Desdemona and he has time to think only of his hate for Othello. Iago is able to more successfully focus all of his attention on his goal and not on Roderigo's. It is a great relief to Iago. As Cassio cries for help, Iago begins to act compassionate. In reality, he wants Cassio dead as well. Iago says, "Oh, me, Lieutenant! What villains have done this! Give me some help" (V.i.56). It is as if Iago wants to act like a great friend to Cassio even though he was the one who inflicted pain and sorrow on him. Iago was the greatest villain of all. He was truly fake even until the death of two men who were completely innocent. Iago deserved to die.
